Cents-per-point calculator
Cents per point (cpp) tells you how much each point is worth on a specific redemption, so you can tell a great deal from a poor one.
Enter the cash price and the points required to see the value of each point.
How it works
Take the cash price of the same flight or room, subtract any taxes and fees you still pay when booking with points, and divide by the number of points. Multiply by 100 to get cents. For example, a $500 fare that costs 25,000 points plus $5.60 in fees is ($500 − $5.60) ÷ 25,000 × 100 = 1.98 cents per point.
Compare the result with the program’s value. A higher number means you got more from your points than average. Points are not worth the same everywhere: transferable bank points usually beat cash back, and the best value often comes from premium cabins. Always compare the points price with a fair cash price for the same trip, not an inflated one.
Our program values are our own estimates, published with their method on the valuations page. They are not guarantees of what you can redeem for.
