Plaid data use

Effective October 12, 2026. Income Flow Tracker LLC, a Nevada limited liability company.

1. What Plaid is

Plaid Inc. is a service that lets you connect financial accounts to apps like PointsTrkr. When you choose to link a card, you sign in to your bank inside Plaid’s window and pick which accounts to share. Your bank credentials go to Plaid and your bank, not to us.

2. What we access

Only for credit card accounts you select, and only read-only:

  • Account details: name, last four digits, account type and the institution.
  • Transactions: date, amount, merchant name, category and whether the transaction is pending.

We do not request, and cannot use Plaid to obtain, your bank login, and we cannot move money or make payments.

3. Why we need it

Banks do not provide rewards point balances through Plaid, so PointsTrkr estimates points from your transactions and each card’s earn rates. We use the data to add points to your balances, detect statement credits and mark them used, track sign-up bonus spending, and show purchases that earned fewer points than another card of yours would have. We use it for nothing else.

4. How it is protected and kept

We store only an access token for each linked bank, encrypted at rest and used only on our servers, plus the accounts and transactions listed above. Data is protected in transit with TLS, and access is limited so each user can reach only their own records. We keep this data only while your account and the connection remain active. We do not sell it or share it for advertising.

5. Your control

You can disconnect any bank at any time in Settings. Doing so asks Plaid to remove the connection and we stop receiving new data. Deleting your account also removes your connections and the data we hold. You can also manage connections at my.plaid.com. To request deletion by email, contact support@pointstrkr.com.

6. Plaid’s own policy

Plaid collects and handles your information under its End User Privacy Policy. By linking an account you also agree to that policy. Our own practices are described in the Privacy policy.

7. Linking is optional

Plaid sync is part of the paid Pro plan and is always your choice. Free users can track points by entering cards and balances manually.
